Hyperinflation has one main cause, though there are smaller contributing factors. It centers mainly on money and national growth.
When money increases rapidly and in massive amounts, but is not matched by the output of services and goods, then this will cause hyperinflation. It is an imbalance that occurs between money demands for bank deposits and currencies and the ability to supply the money. This is then compiled by consumer lack of confidence in their currency. However, laws prevent money from being given comparable rates and prices to precious metals such as gold. Most of the time the problem is that government mints cannot print enough money fast enough.
